The course ‘A Master’s Guide to the UK Flag’ is for Managers, Masters and Senior Officers of United Kingdom registered vessels. The purpose of the course is to provide easy-to-use information regarding United Kingdom Merchant Shipping regulations and administrative procedures.

About the Course

This online course will help you to comply with UK requirements by focusing on the guidelines set out in ‘A Master’s Guide to the UK Flag’, released by the UK DfT Maritime and Coastguard Agency, this online course aims to allow the learner to train themselves in vital regulation and procedures in the most efficient way possible by studying each of the 14 subjects in this course, with learning consolidated via confirmation and assessment questions. As the user navigates the course, they will encounter 50 confirmation questions which when answered, give learner feedback. This learning is then further consolidated by use of a final assessment of 75 questions, with a pass mark of 80%.

You’re free to enter and exit the course at your convenience but please note: the assessment must be completed in a single sitting. If you exit during an assessment, your progress in that section will reset.
