VIRSEC – Maritime UK Finalists

Since going live in January 2017, we are providing our training into 130 countries and are working with some of the biggest shipping companies in the world, using the latest innovations in e-learning technology.  Despite the COVID pandemic, by being an e-Learning provider, we are continuing to experience considerable export growth, establishing a global sales team and expanding their creative digital team all leading to a rebrand to VIRSEC earlier this month.

It is a huge achievement to be shortlisted for such prestigious awards and we would like to say good luck to all finalists.

The awards ceremony will be hosted virtually from ‘Britain’s Ocean City’ in Plymouth on 12th November and will be viewable by people from across the country and overseas.  To celebrate the event, we will be live streaming to the event from our offices in Manchester, dressing for the occasion adhering to all COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines.

Maritime UK say that “These awards are organised by industry for industry.  They celebrate the achievement of business and organisations throughout the maritime sector, as well recognising as the vital efforts of maritime keyworkers throughout COVID-19.  95% of exports and imports are transported by sea ang the sector has played a vital role in keeping trade flowing and the country supplied with goods such as food and medicines.  The UK maritime sector contributes £46.1 billion to the economy every year and supports 1.1 million jobs.”
