About This Module

Knowing the hazards of lithium-ion batteries is essential; but successfully managing an emergency requires decisive leadership, clear communication, and effective coordination. The Command and Control Module to the Online Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Awareness for Superyachts examines the subject from the perspective of the shipboard command team, looking at shipboard emergency organisation, drills and training, decision-making tools, crew resource management and post-incident control. Designed to be thought-provoking and to provide participants with the skills required to enhance Li-Ion incident response on their own vessels.
