Are any of the online courses Accredited under any Awarding Body’s other than the MCA?

Yes, several of our courses that hold MCA Approval are also accredited with the Liberian Registry (LISCR), these being the Security Awareness, Designated Security Duties and Ship Security Officer. We also have our STCW’78 Crowd Management & Passenger Safety course Approved under LISCR, and a US Coast Guard (USCG) Approved Crowd Management Course. Many of the other courses and Maritime English Tests (METs) are accredited under the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Are VIRSEC Maritime Security Courses Fully Approved?

Yes, our ISPS Courses are under the UK Department for Transport (DfT) Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) and meet with the Knowledge, Understanding and Proficiency as set out by the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB). The courses are STCW ISPS certified under the Manila Amendments.
